Consultation · Federal only

Talk to a lawyer about a pardon or commutation

Whether your loved one is still in federal prison or finished a sentence years ago, start with a conversation. A consultation is one hour with attorney Brandon Sample. We'll look at the federal case and tell you whether a pardon or a commutation (a shorter sentence) is realistic.

What we'll cover

We'll go over the judgment (the court paper that lists the conviction and sentence), the time served, and what has happened since. If you have them, have the judgment and docket number handy. Then we'll tell you whether clemency fits, or whether another federal option, like compassionate release, makes more sense. You'll leave knowing your next step and, if we can help, what that work would involve.
